Casino Revenues Drop 1% for September in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board have released the September revenue ps for the 12 operating casinos in the state, showing a drop in revenues for the month. Total revenues came in for table games at $72,310,207 which is a 4.4% drop when compared to the $75,615,712 from September 2017. Even with the help from the slot machine increase, the state still saw an overall drop in gaming revenues of t 7BALL he 1%.

Table Game Numbers:

Several of the casinos in the state saw a significant drop in table game revenues for September when compared to the same month last year. The biggest drop was seen by the Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, who dropped just over 50% with only $225,390 in revenues for the month. The Mohegan Sun Pocono saw a significant decrease in earnings as well, dropping more than 32% with just over $2.7 million earned.

The Meadows Casino, which was down 18.38% with only just over $2 million in earnings, was next in line with the largest decrease for the month. The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem was down 18.80%, with just over $18.4 million in revenues earned from table games.

In the Positive:

Only five casinos were able to see an increase in table gaming revenues. In first, the Rivers Casino saw an 18% increase in table game earnings, bringing in just over $6.7 million while the SugarHouse Casino was not far behind with $10.9 million in revenues, an increase of 16.75%.

Next in line was the Valley Forge Casino Resort, bringing in 12.76% more when compared to September of 2017, with just over $3 million in revenues. The Mount Airy Casino Resort was not far behind, earning $4.349,514 which is a 12.43% increase. Pulling up the rear as far as increases were concerned was Parx Casino, seeing an increase of almost 1.5%, with $15.2 million in earnings.

When considering overall revenues as a whole, table games and slots combined, the Valley Forge Casino Resort saw the best month with an increase in earnings of 10.48%, bringing in $10,451,129 in September. On the other end of the spectrum, the worst month went to the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, who earned just over $42.6 million in total, a decrease of 10.26% for the month.
